Terrier’s Terrific Turkey Burgers Dog Recipe
Preparation:
- Put the turkey in the food processor, add 4 to 6 tablespoons of half-and-half, and process until the turkey is coarsely chopped; add more half-and-half if needed, but keep the mixture thick. Move the turkey to a mixing bowl. Add onions, bread crumbs, remaining half-and-half, and salt and pepper to taste; combine mixture thoroughly. Shape into 8 patties, each 3 inches in diameter.
- Heat 4 tablespoons olive oil in heavy skillet over medium heat. Add patties and sauté for about 5 minutes on each side, or until patties are cooked through.
- Meanwhile, heat remaining olive oil, the butter, stock, and parsley over medium heat in small saucepan until butter melts. Place a slice of bread in the dog dish, arrange a turkey burger on top (cut into bite-sized pieces, if necessary), and pour sauce over all of it. You can make 8 turkey burgers with this recipe.
