Terrier's Terrific Turkey Burgers Dog Recipe

Terrier’s Terrific Turkey
Burgers Dog Recipe

Preparation:

  1. Put the turkey in the food processor, add 4 to 6 tablespoons of half-and-half, and process until the turkey is coarsely chopped; add more half-and-half if needed, but keep the mixture thick. Move the turkey to a mixing bowl. Add onions, bread crumbs, remaining half-and-half, and salt and pepper to taste; combine mixture thoroughly. Shape into 8 patties, each 3 inches in diameter.
  2. Heat 4 tablespoons olive oil in heavy skillet over medium heat. Add patties and sauté for about 5 minutes on each side, or until patties are cooked through.
  3. Meanwhile, heat remaining olive oil, the butter, stock, and parsley over medium heat in small saucepan until butter melts. Place a slice of bread in the dog dish, arrange a turkey burger on top (cut into bite-sized pieces, if necessary), and pour sauce over all of it. You can make 8 turkey burgers with this recipe.
