Sweet Potato Pie Dog Recipe

Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Peel the sweet potatoes and mash them in a mixing bowl. Beat in the egg yolks, maple syrup, salt, allspice, ginger, and cloves. Beat the egg whites until stiff in another bowl. Stir a spoonful of whites into the sweet potato mixture, and then add the remaining whites.
3. Turn filling into pie crust and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until filling is just set. Serve at room temperature. You can make two 9-inch pies with this recipe.

Ingredients:

• 6 large cooked sweet potatoes
• 4 large eggs, separated
• 1 cup maple syrup
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon ground allspice
• ½ teaspoon ground ginger
• ½ teaspoon ground cloves
• 2 unbaked 9-inch pie crusts
