Soy Power Dog Muffins Recipe
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 400° F. Line 24 muffin tins with paper forms.
- Mix the eggs, milk, and oil in a mixing bowl. Stir in the baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix the whole wheat and soy flours and bran, and then add them slowly to egg mixture, beat them until the batter is well mixed. Fold in raisins.
- Place the batter into the muffin tins with a spoon. Bake for 10 minutes. You can make 24 muffins with this recipe.
Ingredients: 2 lightly beaten eggs 2 cups of milk ½ cup of corn oil 3 teaspoons of baking powder 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1 teaspoon of salt 2 cups of whole wheat flour 2 cups of soy flour 1 cup of bran flakes (miller's bran) 1 cup of raisins
Note: Soy flour is very high in fiber and it also contains 40 percent protein.
