Schnauzer’s Schnitzel Recipe
Preparation:
- Put kibble or noodles in a dog bowl.
- Scour veal in flour, then in the egg yolks, then in bread crumbs. Melt the butter in a heavy skillet; add veal in batches and brown on all sides, transferring pieces to the dog bowl as they are browned. Sprinkle with lemon juice and serve. You can make about 1 quart of schnitzel with this preparation.
Ingredients:
- Kibble or cooked egg noodles
- 4 pounds boneless veal round, cut into thin strips
- 2 cups flour
- 4 eggs yolks, beaten
- 2 cups dry bread crumbs
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
- Dash of fresh lemon juice
Note: In Renaissance Germany, schnauzers were so popular that artists frequently depicted them in paintings and drawings. It is said that Albrecht Dürer painted his pet schnauzer's portrait a lot of times.
