Potato Pancakes Dog Recipe
Preparation:
- Place potatoes in a saucepan with salted water to cover, let it boil over high heat, and cook until tender, for 25 to 30 minutes. Drain the potatoes and mash with their skins, and then stir in milk and egg yolks, beating well. In mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, then fold into potatoes.
- Melt 2 to 4 tablespoons of butter on a griddle over medium heat. Drop 2 tablespoons potato mixture on griddle for each pancake and cook pancakes until lightly browned on both sides. Continue making pancakes, adding more butter to griddle as needed. Serve with yogurt, cottage cheese, or sour cream. You can make about 84 three-inch pancakes with this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 10 medium potatoes
- Salt
- 2 cups milk
- 6 large eggs, separated
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
- Yogurt, cottage cheese, or sour cream
Note: It is not necessary to peel the potatoes when preparing them for your dog, but you must remove any sprouting buds because they contain a toxic matter.
