Mixed Meats Loaf Dog Recipe

 

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F. and oil two large, shallow baking dishes.
  2. Beat the eggs lightly in a large mixing bowl; add the onions, 2 tablespoons parsley, and oatmeal and mix well. Add chopped livers, ground meat, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well with your hands to blend ingredients carefully. Form mixture into small loaves about l ½ to 2 inches in diameter and 4 to 6 inches long, place in baking dishes, and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake for 30 minutes.
  3. Combine bulgur and water in small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat while the loaves bake. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and simmer for 25 minutes.
  4. Spread the cooked bulgur on, arrange loaves on top, and sprinkle with remaining parsley. You can make about 20 loaves with this recipe.

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 8 tablespoons chopped Italian parsley
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups chicken livers, chopped
  • 24 ounces ground beef, veal, or pork
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 cups bulgur
  • 2 cups water

Note:
This dish is very easy to prepare, and while it cooks your dog will revel in the delicate scents that fill the kitchen. Worcestershire sauce provides a special touch for dogs with a sophisticated appetite.
