Junkyard Pot Luck Dog Recipe
Preparation:
- Place the onions, carrots, potatoes, and zucchinis in a steamer and steam vegetables over boiling water 15 to 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft. Cook macaroni according to package instructions while vegetables are steaming; drain and store.
- Place the steamed vegetables in a large saucepan. Add the meat, kidney beans, garlic, and broth; stir well. Bring mixture to a simmer over medium heat and cook, until beans and meat are heated through, stir regularly. Add tomato paste, tamari, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper to taste, and macaroni; simmer for 20 minutes, add more broth or water if mixture becomes too dry. You can make about 6 quarts of pot luck with this recipe.

- 2 coarsely chopped onions
- 4 carrots cut into ½ -inch pieces
- 6 medium all-purpose potatoes cut into ½ -inch pieces
- 2 medium zucchinis cut into ½-inch pieces
- 16 ounces macaroni
- 4 cups cooked meat, cut into ½ -inch pieces
- 2 cans (32 ounces) kidney beans, drained
- 2 minced cloves of garlic
- 2 cups Basic Dog Broth
- 12 ounces tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons tamari sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
