Note: The dachshund springs immediately to mind whenever we say the words hot dog. They were unknown outside Germany until the late nineteenth century, dachshunds come in three different hair styles: long, smooth, and wire-haired; and two different sizes: standard and miniature. The original dachshund hunted in packs for boar, foxes, rabbits, and especially badgers, but the breed was larger and heavier in those days, better suited to the task than today's domesticated dachshund. Here you will find a simple frankfurter recipe that will appeal to all dogs regardless of country of origin.
