Homemade Steak, Kidney, & Kibble Pie Dog Recipe

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. and grease two deep 9-inch pie plates.
  2. Combine flour, marjoram, thyme, and salt and pepper to taste in a mixing bowl. Add steak strips and kidney; toss to coat meats with seasoned flour. Shake off excess flour and transfer meat to the baking dish. Add the kibble. Mix the garlic and mustard with stock and pour over the meat and kibble.
  3. Roll out the dough into 2 10-inch circles and fit them over the top of the pie plates. Crimp edges to seal tightly. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the crust is crisp and browned. Let the pie cool slightly and serve. You can make two 9-inch deep-dish pies.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 cups thinly sliced boneless round steak
  • 2 cups 1-inch pieces beef, veal, or lamb kidney, trimmed of fat and membrane
  • Dough for 2-crust 9-inch pie
  • 1 ½ cups kibble
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 2 cups Basic Dog Broth

Note:
Why do dogs just leave us at times?

  • Boredom
  • Lack of attention
  • Lack of love
  • falling in love
  • Strong desire to play
  • The call of the wild

When your dog comes back from an unauthorized tour of the neighborhood, don't punish him; instead, offer devotion and affection and maybe a few Love Snaps.
