Hasty Pudding Dog Recipe

Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350° F. and butter a 2-quart baking dish.
2. Boil milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add cornmeal slowly, stirring constantly; cook over low heat until thickened. Stir in molasses and honey, and then beat in the eggs, salt, and nutmeg. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 1 hour. Serve warm or at room temperature. You can make about 5 2/4 cups of pudding with this recipe.

Ingredients:

• 4 cups milk
• 1 cup cornmeal
• 4 tablespoons molasses
• 4 tablespoons honey
• 4 beaten large eggs
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

Note:
