Gingerbread Mailmen Dog Recipe

Gingerbread Mailmen Dog Recipe

Preparation:

  1. Mix the molasses, honey, water, and oil in a medium mixing bowl. Mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt in another bowl. Stir the flour mixture slowly into the molasses mixture; mix well with a wooden spoon. Separate the dough in half, shape each piece into a ball, wrap them in a plastic wrap, and refrigerate for several hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350° F. and grease the baking sheet.
  3. Roll out the dough ¼, inch thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut into the gingerbread men with a cookie cutter or into free-form shapes and move to a baking sheet. Press in the raisins for eyes and buttons. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until firm and lightly browned around the edges. You can make 24 cookies with this recipe.

Ingredients:
1 cup of molasses
4 tablespoons of honey
1 cup of water
½ cup of vegetable oil
6 cups of unbleached all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of ground cloves
4 tablespoons of ground fresh ginger
1 teaspoon of salt
½ cup of raisins

Note:
The mailman is a person with whom most dogs develop some type of relationship—for better or worse. A lucky mailman is greeted every day with slurpy dog kisses that leave prints all over the entry door's glass panes. These crunchy cookies will help clean your pet's teeth.
