Basic Omelet for Dogs Recipe
Preparation:
- Beat the eggs vigorously with whisk or fork for 30 seconds in a mixing bowl. Stir in salt and pepper to taste.
- Melt butter in an omelet pan and over medium heat. When the butter is brown and releases a nutty aroma, pour the eggs into the pan. Stir eggs for a few seconds then cook, sliding pan back and forth over heat to keep the eggs from sticking. As omelet begins to set, slide spatula under edge, permitting creamy, uncooked liquid to flow into the center of the pan. The omelet is cooked when the eggs are creamy on top, but are no longer runny.
- Place the meat over omelet with a spoon, tilt pan, and fold the omelet in half over the filling. Slide omelet onto a plate and serve immediately. You can make 2 large omelets.
Ingredients:
- 6 large eggs
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons chopped cooked meat, poultry, or fish or grated cheese
Fear of Flying Due to recent improvements to insure the health and comfort of dog passengers, the cargo section temperature is now better regulated in flight, with a range of 45 to 85° F, and dogs no longer arrive at destinations frozen, asphyxiated, bruised, or battered.
But even though conditions are safer, air travel is still not pleasant for dogs, which are subject to the roar of the engines, pressure changes, and possible breathing problems. Short-nosed breeds must have floor-to-ceiling ventilation and should fly only if it is absolutely necessary.
Dogs in transit should never be given human tranquilizers, neither should they be muzzled.
